D1. The teacher consistently meets expectations and fulfills responsibilities.
During my final evaluation with my supervisor and mentor teacher, I was not surprised to hear that they agreed I did my best with meeting expectations and fulfilling responsibilities. I like to think I am my harshest critic; therefore, most of their comments matched with mine or were kinder than what I had to say about myself. I also tend to think realistically and do not have too much of a skewed vision of how I am as a person and student teacher. The screenshots below show just how well I met expectations and fulfilled responsibilities.

As shown in the above picture, my mentor teacher thought I had the “ability to independently complete tasks and offer additional help”. I knew the workload my mentor teacher had on top of the need to adjust to virtual school; therefore, I offered my help anywhere and anytime my mentor teacher needed it. I tried not to overstep or overdo anything, but my mentor teacher was always willing to give me the opportunities to grow and learn as much as possible – without these opportunities, I would not have been able to successfully and fully meet expectations and complete responsibilities.

As shown in the screenshot from my final evaluation above, my supervisor also thought I “consistently completed detailed lesson plans on time or early and took initiative for helping in the classroom”. I am a very organized person and know how things can backfire without the proper planning. Although I cannot trust that everything go perfectly and smoothly every time, I do my best in being prepared and making sure the people around me are, as well. I hope to continue to meet expectations and fulfill responsibilities as my student teaching semester comes right around the corner.
