With a focused attitude, communicative personality, and driven motives, I cannot wait to become a high school English teacher upon graduating from The Pennsylvania State University in the spring of 2021. Through my pre-student teaching internship, I worked under a mentor teacher at Altoona Area High School and received guidance on blossoming into the teacher I know a lot of kids need – especially because of the huge shift to online schooling that the nation underwent. Eventually, I plan to work for DoDEA schools on military bases around the world to experience different cultures and meet students from around the globe. Having grown up on a military base myself, I am excited to rejoin the familiar atmosphere as it is one that is like no other. I hope to build personal relationships with my students in order to motivate them to become their best selves academically and personally. I also hope to foster a welcoming, comfortable environment for my students in order for them to do their best and become their best. When I am not teaching, I hope to be able to spend as much time as I can with my little Shih Tzu, read as many books as I can, and binge-watch as many shows on Netflix as I can.
